Today was the second day of the painted boy gay art fair, presented by the Leslie Lohman Gallery and the LGBT center on 13th street in Manhattan, in the vein of the Tom of Finland art fairs that used to be held in Manhattan.

I got to see some cool new artists exhibiting. Some familiar faces from last spring as well, which is nice, good to see there’s a general artistic community at these events. Though it does look like there are fewer presenters this year than last. The space has a nicer feel overall. Fewer presenters lets the curator open up the main room I guess, instead of dividing it up with a maze of zig-zagging cardboard.

The hot hunky Santa Claus that showed up at the end of the evening was a nice bonus.

I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my friend NB, thanks for helping me set up. And it was nice to sell some work as well. two collectors dropped by, and I got the feeling there was some interest. The other artists seemed to like my work at least.
